Back in the Mountains

I am back in the mountains. After spending time on the East Coast, I have grown and been challenged in ways that I could not imagine. I have returned home. With two boys, we are affectionally calling this place "our bubble" as we homeschool and I return to the joy of sewing, knitting and quilting.

So what am I working on now...

I have "two at a time" socks on the needles, as well as a shawl. And I quickly knitted me a hat for our first snow which was brief this week. But it is cold.

I am also working on my beloved Crabapple Hill designs, the witches. Which I started many years ago but I am slow working away on the HUGE panels. I am also drawing of her new Noah's ark Design.

This is all in-between homeschooling, unpacking and setting up my sewing area. Along with all the other family obligations. Not to mention we are entering my favorite time of year.

Farmer's Wife 1930's Sew Along

I found this sew along on the internet last week and am so excited to be participating. Now to just keep up with the blocks. There are 99 of them.

Angie of Gnome Angel is the administrator and it's free to join the sew along. She will be list tutorials weekly along with quest bloggers.

I am hoping to keep up and maybe even keep up with the blogging as well.

A New Chapter

It has been an interesting month. A lot is changes. I am now homeschooling the boys and what a journey that has been. There is still some room to grow but I definitely am learning lots and love having them home. There are days when I have to really focus and stay patient but then there are days that we have a lot of fun.

Quilties

Had a wonderful time with a talented teacher Sunday. I can't wait to do my assignment for this month. I loved the wax crayons. Thanks Sandie.

ATC - Artist Trading Cards

I have found a new thing. It's Artist Trading Cards. It's something that me and DH can do together. I am very new at this so I assume that my creativity will grow with the more that I do. If you don't know what ATC's are, here is a cool website to explain it. Now to just find people to trade with.

Surviving Christmas

I did it. I made it through the holidays with two sick boys having three Christmas parties, two at my house, becoming sick on Christmas. I still managed to have a fun Christmas get all the traditions done, decorate, celebrate Christmas, RELAX, and have all my Christmas put away by January 6th all without Stress. Thank you Flylady.

Christmas is Coming

I am so excited for Christmas to be here. 7 more days!!! Of course, everyone is sick in the house. Did you know that even if you get the vaccine for Chicken Pox 3% of people still get it. My son is in the 3%. Makes for an interesting Christmas.
